Insomnia Why

By: Penny Butler, NaturalHealing.com.au

The mind may lose a night of rest when a person feels excited or else a new stressful situation occurred that upset the emotions. For example, a newborn baby could upset a mother, while a death in the family could interrupt an entire family.

Common situations that set off insomnia for a couple of days, or even a week is rarely anything to worry about, however if insomnia persists then medical or mental help may be required to minimize the symptoms.

Insomnia is not anyone's friend, rather it is a partner of the evil that ruins a person's health and destroys the mind. When a person is controlled by insomnia, it makes it difficult to live through a life.

To help you find a method for relieving insomnia, first you must have an idea why your are suffering insomnia. Did you go visit your doctor and go through a series of steps that would determine if medical is the cause of your insomnia? Did you visit a mental health expert when no medical ailments were pending that caused the insomnia, or else did your recently endure overwhelming stressful events that made the insomnia available to torment your life? What is your personality type?

Ok, so you visited the doctor and your physician found ailments, such as nervous conditions that are causing the insomnia. The doctor has prescribed you medications and now you are on your way to recovery. O, possibly, you have visited a mental health expert and the doctor found mental disorders existing in the mind, thus enforcing your insomnia. Now you are going through therapy and taking medications and on your way to recovery. If you recently endured a death in the family, change in career, new baby, or other stressful event you need to ask your self, "Have I accepted the changes?" Do I take responsibility and allow my emotions to express them self to relieve anger, sadness, happiness, and frustration, or do I allow my emotions to take control? It is important to accept the fact that death and birth are a part of reality and for death, none of us can stop it and none of us is responsible for death, unless we pulled the trigger that killed the person. Which brings us to guilt, which is a destructive negative charge that enforces the emotions to linger, thus causing a person to lose sleep?

Thus, if you are feeling guilty you will need to practice self-talk and ask your self why you are feeling this way. What did you do to make the incident occur? Could you have changed anything surrounding the event? Of course, if you recently had a baby this is not the questions you want to ask, rather you would encourage the mind by letting your brain know that now is not the time to lose sleep, since your baby needs you more now than ever. Of course, you could have done something to change the new arrival, but babies are rewarding and thus, pat your self on the back for brining into the world a lovely new friend to someone, a brother/sister to someone, and a daughter/son to you and your husband.

Other reasons for insomnia may be within your personality type. If you have a creative personality type or artistic type, thus, sleeplessness may occur since writers, musicians, artists, and actors will often spend hours at work and less hours sleeping. Thus, musicians often enjoy playing music during the later hours, thus throwing the mind off proper sleeping habits. As you can see training, the mind is the answer to resolving ALL insomnia problems. Regardless, of the cause of insomnia all of us can train to fight insomnia, thus rest peacefully during night hours. Finally, insomnia is not a friend, thus fighting insomnia now is critical to prevent additional problems.
